Delete your Orbit and Meta data

Last updated: 7 September 2026

You can ask us to delete information associated with your Orbit account or a connected Facebook or Instagram account. Email chris@orangex.co.uk with the subject Orbit data deletion request.

What to include

Send the request from the email address used for your Orbit account. Tell us whether you want us to delete:

If relevant, include the business name and connected Facebook Page or Instagram username. Do not email passwords or access tokens.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge the request and may ask for information needed to verify your identity and authority over shared business data.
  2. We disconnect the relevant social connection and remove stored access credentials.
  3. We delete the requested account, content, uploaded media, imported social content and analytics where we are entitled to do so.
  4. We normally complete a verified request within 30 days. We will explain if the request is unusually complex or if law permits additional time.

Disconnect through Meta

You can also remove Orbit from your Facebook settings under Settings and privacy → Settings → Business integrations. This prevents future access by Orbit. To request deletion of information already held in Orbit, complete the email process above as well.

Shared workspaces and required retention

Deleting one collaborator’s account does not automatically delete a business workspace owned by another user. We may retain limited records where necessary to protect other users, establish or defend legal claims, prevent fraud, or comply with law. Residual encrypted backup copies may remain until overwritten through the ordinary backup cycle and will not be restored for routine use.
